Type A Authenticity Guarantee

ClingGem (a division of CT Exploration Inc.) stands firmly behind the authenticity of our collection. We curate only Type A Guatemalan Jadeite—defined as natural, untreated jadeite that has not been subjected to chemical bleaching, artificial dyes, or polymer injections.

To provide our clients with absolute peace of mind, we offer the following 180-day authenticity assurance:

1. The Guarantee

If, within 180 days of the original date of purchase, a ClingGem jadeite gemstone is determined to be anything other than Type A Natural Jadeite by a qualified gemological authority, ClingGem will provide a 100% refund of the purchase price, reimburse standard testing fees, and provide a prepaid shipping label for the return.

2. Qualified Testing Institutions

To ensure the highest level of accuracy and legal standing, testing must be performed by a recognized, independent gemological laboratory located within the United States. To be considered valid under this guarantee, the laboratory must:

  • Use Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and/or Raman Spectroscopy to definitively test for polymer impregnations and dyes.

  • Be led by a GIA Graduate Gemologist or a Mineralogist (Ph.D.) specializing in Jadeite.

  • Provide a formal, printed report detailing the "Type A" status and the specific testing methods utilized.

3. Conditions & Exclusions

This guarantee is designed to protect genuine buyers of natural jadeite. To prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of the claim, the following conditions apply:

  • Unaltered Condition: The gemstone must be in its original, pristine condition and entirely free of physical damage (chips, cracks, or fractures) that occurred after delivery. Any evidence of third-party jewelry work, resizing, resetting, or physical alteration voids this guarantee.

  • Chemical/Heat Exposure: Natural Jadeite is durable but sensitive to extreme environments. This guarantee is void if the stone shows evidence of exposure to extreme heat, industrial chemicals, or ultrasonic cleaning, as these can alter the stone's surface and internal structure.

  • Verification: The returned item must match the "internal manifest" (including high-resolution photography and precision weight records) captured by ClingGem prior to the original shipment.

  • Non-Transferable: This guarantee applies exclusively to the original purchaser of record and is not transferable to secondary owners.

4. Claim Process

To initiate a claim, please contact info@clinggem.com with a digital copy of the official lab report. Upon verification of the report and the physical inspection of the returned item, refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.
